TARRAGONA

Good morning guys! Today I will talk about my hometown, Tarragona. For me is one of the most beautiful cities of Spain. Tarragona it’s located in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula, not far from Barcelona city. It was formerly a Roman city and it still retains much Roman monuments. The main roman ruins in Tarragona are: the amphitheatre, the circus, the Roman walls, the Necropolis, the Forum, the Palace of Augustus and the aqueduct. At least this information can be found in guidebooks.

CADAQUÉS

Good afternoon guys! Today I will talk about Cadaqués, one of my favourite towns in Catalonia. Cadaqués is situated on a bay in the Costa Brava of the Mediterranean Sea. It only takes two hours by car from Barcelona so thus it’s very accessible.

Cadaqués is a former fishing village that has been inspiring many artists as Salvador Dalí or Pablo Picasso. One of Dalí quotes of this town was: "I have spent a delightful summer, as always, in the perfect and dreamy town of Cadaqués. There, alongside the Mediterranean Sea, I have been quenched by light and color".

This blog is for all those people who want to visit Catalonia.  It is specially intended to students who want to do their Erasmus studies in Catalonia. In each post I will show you a different place to visit. 

Catalonia is a land rich in scenery and heritage, from the Pyrenees Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea.  I hope you decide to come and spend a wonderful stay in Catalonia. Everybody is welcome!
